What I’ve learned with spring so far

Welcome to another weather report with Marina! Haha

I still have the feeling that when it comes to talk about the weather in Sweden, that post is going to be mine. And here we are again, but this time, it’s all about spring!

I was really excited for spring, I must say. And was expecting a very sudden change, like sun, flowers showing up everywhere very fast. Well it’s not really like that. Since the winter is so strong, cold and dry in Sweden, when it comes to spring, it is rain time! Which it makes sense: in order for things start flowering we need a little bit of water.

The funny thing for me is, that spring is almost all of the seasons in one. I already experienced a day that I had rain in the morning, then it started to snow and by the end of the day we had a beautiful bright orange sunset. And it doesn’t seem to change. I already got some cool tips from my swedish friends, when it comes about the weather in spring. One of them said that I should be prepared for everything!

So after making the mistake of going out without a proper jacket because I saw the sun and with a winter jacket because I saw a little bit of snow, now I’m prepared for everything. The idea is to go out with layers enough to not feel cold and not feel hot too. It sounds complicated but you get the hang of it, eventually.

For now, I’m actually impressed of how much is changing with just a few weeks of thin rain. You can see everywhere on the ground little green spots where little flowers will show up. It is pretty already, imagine when it’s all flowers everywhere!
