Some Swedish, Swenglish, and gibberish proverbs I collected.

Good to know! Try using them in Sweden, people will look at you with different eyes! (or über confused)

“Pants and suspenders”

Meaning: To do it properly

“Nothing falls in-between the chairs”

Meaning: You shouldn’t forget the details

Meaning: That was a very accurate statement

Meaning: Can’t see the whole picture because of too much focus on the details

Meaning: Close, but not close enough. (equivalent to: close, but no cigar)
