An English student studying Global Health at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.
A Singaporean student studying textile and fashion management at the University of Borås.
Hej, I’m Angelina from Singapore. I love travelling, photography and I’m always thinking about food and what to eat next. I love sustainable fashion and I'm concern about the environmental impacts caused by the textile production chain. Our clothing today is made of synthetic, petroleum-based fibers. These fabrics take decades to decompose. I hope that there will be a wider adoption of ecologically sustainable textiles in the near future, along with greater transparency in the production and waste management processes.

A Sudanese student studying entrepreneurship and innovation management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Ayman graduated in June 2015.
I’m a fun-loving, peace loving soul with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and an almost child-like curiosity. Twenty years ago – when I was about seven - I watched a movie about a computer genius who managed to save the Earth from the imminent danger of zombie aliens (!). My dream has since been to become a computer expert by day and a super-hero crime fighter by night. I achieved the former, and I’m still working on the latter.
I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering from the University of Khartoum in my country Sudan, and now I’m studying for a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. When I’m not day-dreaming about becoming the next Steve Jobs (or Bruce Wayne, I keep going back and forth) and making the world a better place, I’m usually grunting and panting in the Gym. You can recognize me from miles away by my rather loud (some might say annoying) laugh.
A master student in Digital Media and Society. Fond of sharing daily life in Uppsala and homemade Spring rolls. If you are curious at Swedish or Chinese culture, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
I’m Daisy, master student major in Digital Media and Society at Uppsala University. As a new digital ambassador, I’d like to share my life and journeys with you.
I knew nothing about Sweden before I arrived in Arlanda two months ago. In my view, Sweden was a place covered with snow. There were Santa Claus and aurora in the sky during winter nights. But the summer Uppsala impressed me. I spent the first month in basic Swedish course and riding through corn fields to sail on Ekoln Lake.
I love my life in Uppsala. In the spare time, I like reading, riding and video games. I often read Swedish maps and make plans of traveling to some places.
My main blogs are in Chinese, but I will translate them into English. Maybe Swedish in the future? XD
A Montenegrin student studying International Human Rights Law and IP Law at Lund University. Dena finished her studies in June 2016.
Tjena! I am Dena, an ambitious 26-year-old from Montenegro and I am
a) a law graduate,
b) a language enthusiast,
c) a traveller.
a) Law. I am currently enrolled in a Master Programme in International Human Rights Law and Intellectual Property Law at Lund University.
b) Languages. Ever since I could talk and walk, I have shown my love towards internationality. Having been in command of Montenegrin, English and Italian since toddler age, I not only developed love for languages, but am also on a quest for discovering cultures and intertwining them with my own, making that mixture a basis for my personality. I also do my best to be understandable in French and have taken up learning Swedish.
c) Travels. This is a passion that led me to live in Shanghai, Brussels, and now Lund!
Finally, I love dancing and I am attempting to perfect my skills of Argentine Tango and oddly enough, I'm interested in technology.
I also hope curiosity doesn’t really kill the cat because in that case, I should start worrying.
An English student studying biology at Uppsala University. Francesca finished her studies in Sweden in June 2015.
So I moved to Sweden. I now have a bicycle, I drink coffee instead of tea and I have ‘fika’ almost religiously. Currently a master’s student at Uppsala University, I specialise in Immunology & Infection Biology which means that I get to wear a lab coat and play around with bacteria a lot. If I’m not in the laboratory, you’ll find me in choir rehearsals that are taught completely in Swedish (I don’t understand a thing) or in Swedish classes (where I also don’t understand a thing). From a small English seaside town not too far from Newcastle to the city of Uppsala, I landed in Sweden with very little knowledge about the culture, people or the food (but plenty about the dance music). This is my journey and I hope you find it mildly informative!
Chinese-Canadian Automotive Engineering graduate from TU Chalmers. Contact me if you have questions or just want to grab a beer at gimmygoteborg (at) gmail!
Hia! While writing these blogs I was an Automotive Engineering master’s student at TU Chalmers. I am continuing my Swedish adventures at Volvo Cars.
I love building things with my hands. I will fix your broken recycled bicycle.
I’m always living on the edge, doing too many things at once. But I’m normally fine if I have enough coffee and kanelbulle. In my very limited free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new things.
Long live fika breaks!
A Chinese student studying Journalism at Örebro University. Hong has finished his study in July 2016.
Hong has finished his study in July 2016.
A Spanish student studying energy engineering at University of Gävle and management at Stockholm School of Economics. Jesús graduated in June 2015.
Hej! My name is Jesus (yes, it’s a common name in Spain, where I come from!), and I’m 23 years young. I grew up in Luxembourg, and then moved to the UK to study a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering. I finished the thesis in Germany, and then I took a gap year to do crazy adventures around the world. During that year, I fell in love with Sweden and decided to come here to study my 2nd (MSc General Management – Stockholm School of Economics) and 3rd Masters (MSc Energy Engineering – Gävle University). Coming here to Sweden is the best choice I’ve done in my life, and I now want to inspire others to do the same! Every day in Sweden is an adventure!
My life is guided by a set of values, which are: following my Intuition; Exploring, Motivating and Inspiring others; Independence; Positivity; and being Energetic. And for me, the meaning of life is about dreaming, and then making those dreams come true, day by day! :D
A Ukrainian studying finance at Stockholm School of Economics. Marta finished her studies in Sweden in June 2015.
Wondering who I am? A MSc in Finance student at Stockholm School of Economics. A keen skier, finance freak, and art lover. A fun loving person who’s lived in four countries over the past two years, but eager to live across four continents in the following two. A Ukrainian in Sweden, enjoying my Master’s studies, in short…
An American-Egyptian studying nanotechnology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Mohamed finished his studies in Sweden in June 2015.
Hey there! The name’s Mohamed, but you’re free to just call me “Moe”. As to “who I am”, when I’m not daylighting as an nanotechnologist, I’m moonlighting as the nerd of practically every fandom imaginable! (Let’s see how many of my “I AMs” you can recognize!):
- I am the one who knocks
- I’m afraid I can’t do that, Dave
- I am The Doctor
- I am YOUR FATHER!
- I am tired of Earth, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives.
- I’m Simon the Digger
- I am the bone of my sword
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
I can almost guarantee that you and I share at least a handful of common interests, so don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation in the comment section of my blog (It's to your left!). I’ll get right back to ya!
An Indian student studying general management at Stockholm School of Economics. Email me your questions at raghu.digitalambassador (at) gmail.com.
25. Chemical Engineer from India. Let me stop you before your ‘nerd alert’ goes off! I love reading, writing and photography! I’m studying at the Stockholm School of Economics and am here to explore Sweden. Lived in a very remote place in India for 3 years before coming here, so yes this is a cultural change!
I would say I’m honest, compassionate and am someone who believes that every human interaction is valuable to everyone involved in it.
Here to share my thoughts, ideas, interactions and experiences in Sweden. Hope you like them and feel free to hit me with queries :)

An Indonesian student studying Computer Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Email me at Satucahaya (dot) langit (at) gmail (dot) com
Call me Satu! I am from Indonesia and currently doing my first year master degree in Computer Science in KTH. Programming apparently just my disguise to looks smart (please do not judge me :p). I am a photographer, videographer, social activist, writer, gamer and musician inside. I have many interests and I think world is full of cool things. Sometimes I even think about people behavior and psychology. I am a proud Indonesian, and my mission is to get as many experience and knowledge in Sweden, then come back and share it, maybe try to make the country a better place.
I will try to inspire as much people by writing my experience and any positivity I found while I am living in Sweden. As my favorite phrase said “Happiness only real when shared”. The very conclusion of a great movie Into the Wild.
