Graduated from ‘Future Leaders Global’ 2018!
A few months ago, I wrote a post about being selected to be a part of ‘Future Leaders Global’, a leadership and management program for people working in sustainability and global development. It was a wonderful experience, and I got to learn a lot about management, leadership, and got to make some lifelong friends!
And as of, May 2018, I graduated from the program! 😀
What was it about
The Future Leaders global program, was a four month course, which dealt with different rungs and layers of leadership. It gave an insight into leadership in the new age, tools and guidance on self leadership, being a young leader and entrepreneur. The structure of the program was very innovative, and highly efficient. I’ve learnt so much, in the short duration of this program.
It is amazing to meet a group of people, who share a similar passion to contribute to development, and who strive to create a positive impact. From the mentors, to the participants, everyone had a passion and drive to create a positive difference. It was very inspirational, and it helped me solidify my own personal and professional values. The group that I was with was diverse, supportive, driven and so inspirational.
I’ve spoken about this before, and I’ll say it again, Sweden is one of the world’s largest hubs of innovation in the world. Being able to meet and work with a group of similar minded people, in a field similar to my interest and passion toward environment, development and sustainability, is a great experience. But being given a platform where the mentors support and facilitate your interests, and bring out the best version of you and your passions, is truly amazing. And in that sense, being a part of this program not only inspired me to work harder to create a positive impact on the environment and sustainability, but it also made me think bigger and plan a future based on entrepreneurship and innovation in the sustainability field.
Graduating from Future Leaders Global
On May 14th, we had the graduating ceremony, and after being part of this program, I am pumped with more energy to follow my passions and strive to create a positive impact. 2 years ago, I came to Sweden to pursue my Master’s in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure, and I am so happy I choose this country to do my Master’s in. I came here with the hopes of learning more, or doing more, and of being more, and I can say that I have learnt so much practically and theoretically, and my interests and drive has only been fuelled up and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life!
If you have a passion for sustainability and innovation, I would highly recommend studying in Sweden.
